The TNT 350-HD runs great with a single-final or most dual-final radios just fine. Isn't the 350HD a "high drive" amp made for running with a high output export radio? Does it matter if I run a high drive amp with a standard single final radio? I mean, what makes it suitable for running with a dual final export, and will that affect the way it works with a "FCC type accepted" radio. It also uses 2879's transistors which are more foregiving to abuse. It has the pre-amp, auto-SSB and high/low as opposed to the variable dial. More bang for the buck as far as I'm concerned.

Not sure why the "variable power" in the amp is important to you, otherwise I would have recommended the TNT-350HD. not really interested in a new radio, just an amp.Īlso, do any of our sponsors here carry these amps? I've only seen them for sale on X-FORCE's website. don't care don't care don't care don't care. Just don't tell me that since I use sideband a lot I should ante up and get a RCI 2950dx or something.

The features on this amp (ssb delay with at LEAST class b biasing, variable power and a preamp) are pretty much a must have while I'm considering amps.Īny feedback from owners of this or other good low wattage sideband amps would be awesome. Not interested in a ton of power (obviously), but more in getting out that first 100 watts with clean audio. I run sideband a LOT, so I want an amp to be good and clean sounding on sideband.
